| Police solve hit & run case | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 5: Police claimed to have solved a hit and run case registered at Police Station Ghagwal.
According to police, on December 20th, 2019, a person namely Reham Ali S/o Dulla R/o Bandhor, Samba had lodged a complaint at P/S Ghagwal that an unidentified bus hit his motorcyle near Petrol Pump NHW Ghagwal and fled away leaving him injured at the spot. On this, a case FIR No. 111/2019 U/S 279/337 IPC was got registered at P/S Ghagwal and investigation was taken up.
During the course of Investigation, a Police team of P/S Ghagwal got some vital clues from the scene of occurrence and enquiry from the locals which was further probed and finally succeeded in identifying the bus bearing Registration number JK21E-0393 involved in the accident driven by the accused driver Kewal Krishan S/o Om Parkash resident of Ward No. 02 Kathua.
The said accused driver has been arrested at the Naka NHW Tapyal, Ghagwal and the bus involved was also seized. Accordingly the chargesheet of the case was produced in the Court of Law. |
