| Physically challenged lot rues official apathy, demands special awareness camps | | | MS Nazki

Poonch, Jan 5: Lambasting the lackadaisical of social welfare department the physically challenged and mentally related people of Poonch, Mandi, Surankote and Mendhar subdivisions have rued that they have been neglected for one reasons or the other since long sources said here today.
They alleged that Social Welfare Department has failed to take stock of their problems they have been facing as they have no knowledge about the schemes framed by the Government of India for their benefits but unfortunately no awareness camps have been organized for them in the district and no one from district administration have been so far came to know about their plight they added.
They said despite the odds we want to raise our voice at relevant foras but we were not given much attention by the men at helms hence we have been running from pillar to post for even petty things they said while sharing their ordeal with Early Times.
They have urged Director Social department Jammu to take cognizance of their problems they have been facing in their day to day life and take some measures which could make their survival little better, they added. |
