Udhampur, Jan 10: Senior Citizens Club Udhampur today welcomed the concern of the Supreme Court towards blanket ban imposed by the government in Jammu Kashmir since 5 August 2019. The decision has brought all smiles on the faces especially of Jammuities. While speaking In a press conference today President of the Club Mahadeep Singh Jamwal flanked by other members said, the initial ban at the time of abrogation of article 370 was generally accepted by the people as a preventive measure by the government to suppress the rumors but its continuance even after five months in no way was justified and almost every segment of the society that may be student community, un-employed youth, businessman, tourism sector, banking sector etc. was put to great hardships and voices against its continuance were not heeded by the Government even under claims of everything normal in the state. |
