Jammu, Jan 30: Three days’ National Artists’ Workshop by Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA) was inaugurated by Shakti Pathak, Senior Superintendent (SSP) of Police Samba today at Tourism Complex, Mansar in Samba District of Union Territory of J&K. Mushtaaque Ali Ahmad Khan, eminent film maker & cultural activist was the guest of honour on this occasion. The workshop has been organized by Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu in collaboration with J&K Tourism Department, Jammu. Twenty artists of different states of the country will participate in the workshop. Welcoming the guests Sh. O P Sharma, Director, JKCCA told that the organization would organize an art workshop at Basohli during the month of April, 2020. He added that the purpose of the workshop would be to make an interaction between artists hailing from different parts of the country and providing opportunity to work for future programmes. In his address Sh. Shakti Pathak appreciated the activities of Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts, Jammu which is organizing a large number of art, culture and literary activities in the region. Mushtaaque Ali Ahmad Khan also expressed his views on this occasion. Anil Saraf, former Hod, Applied Art Deptt., Institute of Music & Fine Arts, Jammu is the coordinator of the event and Sh. O P Sharma, well known artist & Director, JKCCA is the convener of the workshop.
