Decision of NCBC chairman to "enjoy hospitality" of CUJ raises many eye-brows
1/31/2020 1:03:20 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 30: Decision of the chairman of National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC) Dr. Bhagwan Lal Sahni to enjoy hospitality of the Central University of Jammu (CUJ) and presiding over a function there has raised many eye-brows because NCBC had already initiated inquiry regarding purported manipulations of the Reservation Roster for recruitment of Teaching positions in University.
In the month of November 2019, NCBC had started inquiry against Vice Chancellor of the CUJ for swapping of reserved positions with un-reserved and initiated inquiry into the matter.
After receiving reports about violation of Reservation Roster in recruitment for teaching positions in the CUJ, the NCBC had initiated investigation into the matter.
The National Commission for Backward Classes had directed the CUJ Registrar to send factual report along with the approved Roster Policy by the university in recruitment of teaching positions for further investigation into the matter.
Shockingly on the one hand, NCBC was conducting inquiry against CUJ for snatching rights of the deserving OBC candidates while on the other chairman of the NCBC “enjoyed hospitality” of the same University. NCBC had addressed a seminar at CUJ in the third week of January. The seminar was especially organized for the chairman for whom the chairman especially came to Jammu to attend the event.
Interestingly higher-ups of the CUJ have ignored all reservation rules to recruit people through illegal means on different posts. It was only after these reports that NCBC had initiated inquiry against CUJ.
