Shiksha Niketan High School celebrates 52nd Annual day

Jammu, Jan 30: Shiksha Niketan High School, Gandhi Nagar Jammu celebrated its 52nd years of excellence by holding foundation - cum prize distribution ceremony today .
On this occasion DR. Parshant Bakshi (Associate Professor in SKAUST University, Jammu) was Chief Guest, Ajay Salan( Station Master, Katra) was the Presiding Guest and Mayank Mahajan (Social welfare department, Jammu) was the guest of honor.
All the guests were given rousing reception on their arrival and were presented Saplings by Rameshwar Mengi, the Principal of the School and other Incharges of the School faculty.
On this occasion the Chief Guest in his address, lauded the performance of Students and also the School for meeting high Scholastic and Co- Scholastic arenas.
He Praised the Principal of the School, Shiksha Niketan for being one of the oldest Institution in Jammu Province and also for Establishing a high reputation and fine traditional background.
In his welcome address, Principal of the School gave a brief description about the students of the School who excelled in different fields. He applauded the staff members who strived hard for shaping the bright future of the students for whom the nation will feel proud one day.
A total sum of Rs. 58,000 was awarded in the form of cheques to the meritorious students who had distinguished in Academics. 20 CHEQUES of Rs 1000/- , 13 cheques of Rs. 2,000/- and 5 cheques of Rs. 5,000/- each were given to the students who secured Scholastic excellence from 1st to 10th Classes of School and Board Exams.
