Security Forces apprehend HM militant in North Kashmir | | | S TAHIR-UL HAQ EARLY TIMES REPORT
KUPWARA, Jan 30: A militant of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) was apprehended today by a joint team of forces in this North Kashmir district. Sources told Early Times that since January 25, 2020, two separate militants of LeT and HM outfits, including 7 OGWs were arrested from different locations in north Kashmir along with arms and ammunition. However, official sources told that during search operation that was launched by 47 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), CRPF, and Special Operation Group (SOG) after which a militant was apprehended along with arms and ammunition at Bumhama village of Kupwara district today. Sources identified the apprehended militant as Fayaz Ahmed Mir son of Sonaullah Mir and said he was affiliated with Hibz militant outfit group. Sources further said that one AK- 47 rifle, one magazine and other materials were recovered from him. Meanwhile, sources quoted SSP Kupwara Shriram Ambarkar as having confirmed about this development and said that more details will be shared shortly in a press conference. It is pertinent to mention here that on January 27, the security forces had arrested a militant of LeT outfit in Andergam village of Pattan area. The militant of LeT outfit was identified as Sajid Farooq Dar (19) @ Adnan, S/O Farooq Ahmad Dar R/o Gund Prang MadvaHajin of Bandipora district. Earlier on Jan 25, seven Over Ground Workers (OGWs) were arrested by a joint team of security forces at different locations in Bandipora district, while as huge arms and ammunition's were also recovered from them.
