| NGOs honour Prof Shiv Nirmohi | | |  Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Feb 4: Prof Shiv Nirmohi a renowned personality of Devak Nagri Udhampur was here honoured by Duggar Heritage Society(DHS) and Udhampur Develoment Council(UDC). In a simple and impressive function organized at housing colony Udhampur after being conferred with Padamshree Award by the Government of India (GOI). It is pertinent to mention that Prof Shiv Nirmohi explored the Jammu and Kashmir region and he has published 40 books particularly on the history and culture of Jammu region.
Speaking on the occasion Dr KC Sharma chairman Duggar Heritage Society said that Prof Shiv Nirmohi has made extensive tour throughout Jammu region and his work is the first hand information for the young scholars.
Anil Paba a social activist and President Udhampur Development Council(UDC) said that the dedication towards the history and culture even at the age of 80 and simple living and high thinking of Prof Shiv Nirmohi is the live example for coming generation and source of inspiration to young ones. Paba said that Padam Shree Award by the Govt of India to Prof Nirmohi is the real honour for Duggar.
