Administrative Secretaries listen to Public Grievances at Jammu

JAMMU, Feb 4: Administrative Secretaries of three key departments listened to the public grievances today here at the PWD Guest House.
Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department, (H&UDD) Dheeraj Gupta; Commissioner Secretary, Public Health Engineering Irrigation and Flood Control Department (PHE,I&FCD), Ajeet Kumar Sahu; Secretary Cultural and Tourism, Zubair Ahmad met several deputations and individuals hailing from different parts of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Special Secretary, Housing & Urban Development Department, Haroon Rashid; Joint Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Ashish Gupta; Deputy Director Local Bodies, Varinder Manyal; SDM R.S.Pura Ram Lal Sharma; Tehsildar Bhalwal Rafiq Ahmed Jaral were also present.
A deputation of residents of Roopnagar Housing Colony, met with Principal Secretary, H&UDD and projected their problems. They demanded improvement of civic amenities in the Jammu Development Authority (JDA) colony including development of a park, improvement in drainage system and construction of a community hall.
Principal Secretary assured them to look into their demands for immediate action.
A deputation from Reasi district sought completion of tourism infrastructure at Shivkhori. They sought immediate intervention of the Secretary Culture and Tourism for completion of pending projects including, Yatri Bhawan. They also demanded construction of a Gandola project in the area for increasing tourist footfall.
A deputation of daily rated workers of PHE Department from Doda and Kishtwar Districts met with Secretary PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control and submitted a memorandum of demands. They sought regularization of their services and release of pending wages, among other demands.
The Administrative Secretaries of the concerned departments assured the deputations and individuals of quality disposal of their genuine demands and grievances in a time bound manner.
Meanwhile, several issues projected by the visitors were discussed on the spot and the concerned authorities were asked to implement the directions on priority.
