DPS Jammu excels in state level VVM exam

JAMMU, Feb 4: Taking its rich academic legacy ahead, the students of Delhi Public School Jammu excelled in the VVM State Level Examination-2019-20, conducted by Vijnana Bharti (VIBHA) in collaboration with Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organization under the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India on 31st Jan. 2020 at CSIR-IIIM, Jammu.
The students of classes VI to IX & XI participated in this exam, wherein more than 100 students from J&K appeared. Out of total 12 students who have qualified for the National Level, 5 are from DPS Jammu who have clinched top positions in this prestigious exam. Students who stole the limelight by scoring first ranks at the state level are: Jagrit Rajpal (VI-G), Sambhav Gupta (VII-E), Sushant (VIII-i) and Krishita Arora (XI-C), while Sarvaan Gupta (VI-K) and Parisha Gupta (VII-H) proved their mettle by scoring 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. All winners were awarded Certificates of Merit, Books and cash prizes of Rs. 5000, Rs. 3000 and Rs. 2000, respectively. They will also attend a national camp in May 2020 at Chandigarh. It is noteworthy that VVM Exam is a national level programme meant for educating and popularizing Science among school students.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra congratulated the winners, participants and their parents for the meritorious achievement. Headmistress, Meenu Gupta also applauded them.
