Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 15: Dr. Parveen Kumar working as Scientist, Krishi Vigyan Kendra-Leh, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir has been appointed as president of Environment and Social Welfare society (EWS), Khajuraho Madhya Pradesh for union territory of Leh. Headed by Dr. A. K. Dubey at the pan India level, the Environment and Social Welfare society is a registered society dedicated to environment, education and sciences and technology. It is an ISO 9001:2015 certified organization known worldwide for its impact related directly or indirectly to environment and society. The society is registered under the Society Act 1973, M.P and also affiliated by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. The society is also working for promotion of science and technology and awareness among university and college students. Hailing from a village Railway Line Gagian of Tehsil R. S. Pura of District Jammu, J&K Dr. Kumar did his doctorate in Agricultural Extension from SKUAST-Jammu. He has written three books and published many book chapters, research and review papers in journals of national and international repute. Dr. Kumar regularly writes for newspapers on different agriculture and social issues. He is also a member of various scientific societies and a reviewer of different journals. |
