VIJAYPUR, Feb 15: Locals of village Badwal staged a protest against the Power Development Department (PDD) due to high cost of electricity bills.
A large number of people gathered to take part in the protest.
The protesters said that due to the negligence of the electricity department, people of poor families are receiving exorbitant electricity bills which we are unable to pay.
During the protest, the villagers also expressed concern over the poor condition of the drains which are causing a lot of problems. The protesters warned that if the district administration Samba do not pay attention to the development of the village soon, then people will demonstrate in a big way, which will be the responsibility of the district administration itself. |
