JAMMU, Feb 15: Vice Chancellor SKUAST-Jammu Dr. R.K. Gupta today visited various units of the University located at Main Campus Chatha including boys' hostel, girls hostel, university canteen and main farm. During his visit to the hostels, VC SKUAST-J took stock of the various facilities provided to the students and issued on spot instructions to Engineering Wing of the University to mitigate the problems being faced by the hostellers like internet access, construction of volley ball ground at boys hostel and creation of separate guest room inside the girls hostel. During the field visit, Dr. Gupta issued instructions to the scientific staff to develop model type vegetable and floriculture plots that can encourage the farmers to adopt those crops in their fields that will double their income, which is the prime motive of Hon'ble Prime Minister of India.
