Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 15: A meeting with regard to cleanliness, preservation and beautification of historical Ranbir Canal and Waste Management was today held in the Office Chamber of Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Jammu, R. K. Wattal. The meeting was attended by Secretary DLSA, Naushad Ahmed Khan; Nodal Officer, Sunila Kumari, Chief Engineer Irrigation and Flood Control, Ashok Sharma, Regional Director Social Forestry, Mohinder Kumar Gupta, Chairman Swacch Bharat JMC, Suraj Parkash Padha, S.P City North Jammu, P.D Nitya, besides XEns, Irrigation Div -I, Div-II, XEn JDA Div-II, XEn Tawi Canal Division and SE JDA, Jammu were present. The main focus of the meeting was on the cleanliness of Ranbir Canal from Akhnoor to Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu and its beautification by planting small flowering plants on both side of the bank of the Ranbir canal. The meeting also stressed on the need for putting up sign boards mentioning imposition of fine on persons, who litter any polythene, garbage or any other waste material into the Canal. Directions were given to all the officers present to take up the matter on priority basis and show utmost sincerity, dedication and co-operation to achieve objectives outlined in the meeting. |
