Jammu, Feb 15: Crime Branch (CB) Jammu contested bail application of accused of duping unemployed youths and gets it rejected. According to CB’s spokesperson, the matter Pawan Kumar son of Surinder Kumar R/O H. No. 730, Lane No. 3, Last Matador stand, Bhagwati Nagar, Tallab Tillo, Jammu V/S UT of J&K in case FIR No 11/2019 U/S 420, 465, 468, 471, 120B RPC P/S Crime Branch Jammu before the Court of JMIC (Munsif) Jammu for duping the complainant /unemployed youth fraudulently to the tune of Rs. 12.00 lacs after inducing and luring them on the pretext of providing Govt. jobs in MES Hqrs Srinagar. The UT of J&K was represented by Crime Branch Jammu through Ld. Assistant Public Prosecutor Siddharth Thakur, assisted by IO of the case, who resisted the bail application and filed objections to it on the ground that the accused has committed heinous/ serious crime which is non-bailable in nature. While rejecting the bail the Court among other factors observed that granting bail in a non-bailable offence is a concession allowed to an accused person and it presupposes that this privilege is not abused. |
