Jammu, Feb 22: IECS Polytechnic, Purkhoo camp, Domana, celebrated the “Matribasha Diwas” to commemorate the international Mother Language day-a day dedicated to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism. Speaking on the occasion, Er. Amit Sharma Principal emphasized on maintaining the cultural heritage of India by giving respect to the Mother Tongue. Er. Ajay Singh Jamwal, Dean Adm., stated the rich linguistic diversity of the country and called upon the audience to feel proud of our own mother tongue to maintain the tradition. Many students participated in the Debate on topic” International Mother Language Day”. A number of students enthralled the audience with poems and songs in their mother language. The formal vote of thanks was presented by Er. Vijay Singh HOD ,Electrical Engg. Deptt. The whole programme was coordinated by, Mrs. Daisy Jamwal, Senior Lecturer and Mrs. Swati Mahajan, Lecturer electrical Engg. Deptt.. The program was witnessed by faculty members and students of different branches.
