EARLY TIMES REPORT

POONCH, Feb 27: Though the construction of Phaghla to Mandi Road in district Poonch was taken up almost four decades back but its completion is still nowhere in the sight.
The population of about 40,000 people of Phaghla is yet to get road connectivity to their village even as the earth work of this road is done long ago but it has not been finished even once during all these years.
Several locals of Phaghla consider themselves unfortunate as according to them even though the world has advanced so much over the last 3-4 decades but their village still lacks the road connectivity. They said that different departments took up the construction work of road but it remained incomplete. Sarpanch of Phaghla said that the road connectivity remains one of the genuine needs of their village but unfairly the road is not completed yet. Due to this, the locals particularly students are getting suffered.
He said that it is ironical that the construction work of road couldn’t be completed even after 45 long years adding that if the project is accomplished it will be of immense benefit for several remotely located villages.
