KISHTWAR, Feb 27: Forest Department, as part of its ongoing effort to add green cover to counter climate change, today organized a massive plantation under “J&K Green Drive” here. The plantation drive was conducted in Industrial Area, Sangrambhatta. District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh Tara was the Chief Guest at the launch of drive. Nearly, 50 saplings of Deodar & Cypresses were planted. Others present at the drive were General Manager, DIC Usha Rani; Assistant Commissioner Revenue Dr. Amir Hussain; Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohd. Ashraf; Divisional Forest Officer, Kishtwar Sagar Singh; Range Officer, Kishtwar, Shakeel Ahmed Kichloo; Range Officer, Nagseni, Khalid Abbass Munshi; Range Officer Soil, Hukam Singh; Block Officers and other Forest officials and a large number of locals The drive was conducted under overall supervision of Pr. Chief Conservator of Forests, J&K, Chief Conservator of Forest, Jammu & Conservator of Forests, Chenab Circle, Doda. |
