| Deputy Mayor JMC conducts review meeting of engineering section | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 11: Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation Adv. Purnima Sharma today held a meeting with the officials of engineering wing of Jammu Municipal Corporation.
T.L. Thappa Joint Commissioner (W), Arun Gupta, Executive Engineer (Trikuta Division); Sh. Ashok Sharma, Asst. Executive Engineer (Trikuta Division); Sh. Anil Gupta Asst. Executive Engineer (Trikuta Division).
Deputy Mayor discussed many issues regarding developmental works in different wards, tenders, quality of work, allotment of works to contractors, need of more manpower in the engineering section.
She also discussed the issue of urgent requirement of manpower for the Engineering and directed the Joint Commissioner (W) to do the needful and further directed the Joint Commissioner (W) to make an inspection team and visit each and every ward within the JMC limits to outlook the ongoing and needed developmental works in each ward.
At the end of the meeting, Deputy Mayor directed the Engineering Staff that all the contractors who do not complete or start their allotted works within stipulated time and satisfaction may be blacklisted so that development works may not suffer as many times the work done by the contractors has been delayed and is of low quality.
She further directed the concerned that no payments to be made to the contractors till the quality and completion of work is verified by the concerned JE and AEE. JCW ensured the Hon'ble Deputy Mayor that all her directions will be executed on war footing basis.
