Srinagar, Mar 15 Security forces on Sunday resorted to aerial firing when a vehicle jumped two checkposts in south Kashmir district of Pulwama. Official sources said that a vehicle was signalled to stop at a checkpoint established by security forces at Charsu, Awantipora in Pulwama on Sunday. However, they said the vehicle jumped the signal and fled from there. ‘’Information about the vehicle was passed to another checkpoint at Barsu, they said. They said when the vehicle did not stop at Barsu checkpoint, security forces fired warning shots in the air. But, the vehicle fled from the area. ‘’A search operation has been launched to locate the vehicle,’’ he added. |
