| Chairman BDC Dachhan demands construction of bridge | | |

Jammu, Mar 15: The Chairman Block Development Counsel Dachhan (BDC) Dachhan Satish Kumar today called on Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar and seek his help in construction of bridge and motor able road that can reduce the distance of around 20 Kilometre to Dachhan.
Speaking to Early Times, BDC Dachhan Chairman Satish Kumar said that Chenab Valley Power Project Private Limited (CVPPL) has sanctioned some works under Rehabilitation and Resettlement Plan for Development of Dachhan, however all these works have been planned to be executed on right side of the river Mardusudhar whereas left side of the same has not be included in the plan. He said that the CVPPL has dismantle the foot bridge at Sourbathi being the only life line of the public of Lopara A and Lopara B and subsequently leading to Sub Division Marwah and the bridle path on that side is also coming under the danger mark added that in this connection a meeting between him & DC Kishtwar was also held in this regard in which Executive Engineer Special Sub Division Marwah was also present. He said that before dismantling this foot bridge and bridle road, an alternative shall be created for both long term and short term bases so that real benefit of this project goes down to public— otherwise the public shall suffer badly since same will increase 20KM extra travel journey. |
