ANANTNAG, Mar 20: Municipal Authorities on Friday sealed at least six restaurants for violating prohibitary orders issued by District Magistrate Anantnag.
Chairman Municipal Council Anantnag, Hilal Ahmad Shah along with the officers of MC Anantnag, district administration and police visited several areas of town to ensure business establishments remain closed.
During the visit, six restaurants namely Maraaz Restaurant old KMD Adda, Delhi Darbar K.P Road, Mir Restaurant Janglat Mandi, Ocean Hotel at General Bus Stand and two restaurants at District Hospital And Maternity & Child Care Hospital Anantnag were sealed.
15 street vendors who have installed wooden carts at different places in town with huge gatherings around were also sealed.
All these were found open/ fully operating in violation of order issued under section 144 of CrPc by District Magistrate Anantnag. |
