Jammu, Mar 20: As all educational institutes are closed down under precautionary measure against Covid-19, teaching staff of Delhi Public School Jammu created new milestones by conducting Online Entrance Examination and Evaluation for students of different classes and creating a unique system of sharing result of the final examinations with the parents on WhatsApp. As Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM) was scheduled on Thursday and Friday, the class teachers shared the result of their students with the parents online, asking them not to visit the school to avoid health risks. Simultaneously, around 75 children appeared for Online Entrance Examination on Tata Test Prep platform, the evaluation of which, was also done online and the result shared with the parents same day through text message. School teachers have also prepared Foundation Worksheets and other study material for sharing with children online, which will serve as a bridge course for the next new session. To further facilitate online teaching-learning facilities, lesson plans, homework and voice note, the school is also working to launch online platform 'School/Teacher Connect', in collaboration with Tata Class Edge, School App, to assist in home based learning. In another initiative, herbal sanitizers using Neem leaves, Aloevera Gel, Lemon peels and distilled water were used for sanitizing the entire campus including rooms, laboratories, lobbies, doors, desks and school buses used for ferrying the students. |
