Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 20: All Teachers Association J&K has urged the government not to take teachers for granted in view of Noval Corona virus.
A meeting of ATAJK was held under the chairmanship of Mrignayani Slathia and was attended by General Secretary Dewan Chand. In the meeting the burning issue of havoc wrecked by the Noval Corona Virus (COVID-19) was discussed. In the meeting the participants welcomed the steps been taken by the UT administration to contain the spread of Corona Virus. Slathia acclaimed the government for taking right steps at right time in fight against the deadly Corona Virus. It is due to wise and timely decision of the government that the Corona Virus has been unable to show much deadly effect that it has shown in most of the foreign countries. She said that the teachers had to undertake long distance journeys to attend their schools and as such they were exposed to threat of contacting Corona Virus during travel. She said that since no fruitful and unavoidable work was being taken from the teaching community, they should not have been forcibly exposed to threat of contracting Corona Virus unreasonably by making them to attend schools particularly when the holidays had been announced for the students.
All the members of the Association present at the meeting vowed to give all support to the administration in war against Corona Virus. The prominent apex members who shared their views in the meeting were Upasana, Mir Niyaz, Ritu , Ameena Akhtar, Nazarana.
