Two Business premises sealed in Jammu

JAMMU, Mar 20: Taking tough measures for stringent enforecement of Orders issued under the Provisions of Section 34 of National Disaster Management Act, 2005, the District Administration, Jammu today sealed two business premises “Colour Lounge Unisex Beauty Saloon” and “Vermani Provision Store” for violating the Orders of District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA). A team of the officers headed by Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order), Jammu with Tehsildar, Bahu and SHO, Gandhi Nagar while visiting the different areas of the city to ensure the implementation of the orders issued to check spread of COVID-19, the Colour Lounge Unisex Beauty Saloon was found open. The business premises was immediately closed and sealed and also the owner of the premises was booked under Section 51 of National Disaster Management Act, 2005. Similarly, during the checking of Gole Market area of Gandhi Nagar, Vermani Provision Store was also sealed and owner booked for not complying the orders issued by the District Disaster Management Authority, (DDMA) despite repeated instructions to follow the Orders. The Deputy Commissioner, Jammu has advised the business community of District Jammu to scrupulously obey and comply with the Orders issued by the DDMA as the same is being done in the larger interest of preventing spread of COVID-19 and saving lives of the citizens
