Jammu, Apr 4: Welcoming amendment in the domicile order, Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) has questioned double standard of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) as they had welcomed discriminatory nature of earlier domicile. “BJP spokespersons in Jammu were justifying discriminatory earlier domicile where youth of Jammu and Kashmir were pushed to the wall,” the JKAP leaders, Manjit Singh, and Vikram Malhotra said. They said that it surprised them more when BJP leaders publically claimed that the amendment happened due to their efforts. “You are exposed before the youth. When JKAP President Syed Altaf Bukhari initiated efforts and criticized the earlier domicile in strong words, your leaders were busy to justify discrimination with Jammu’s youth,” they said. They advised the BJP’s State Unit to stop misleading the people in Jammu. How can you justify it in earlier form when it had ignored right of the educated youth? When you are exposed before Jammuities, you are claiming that it was amended because of your efforts; JKAP leaders took on BJP leadership in Jammu and Kashmir. After abrogation of special status from Jammu and Kashmir, they said, J&K Apni Party had promised “domicile and restoration of Statehood.” Both the leaders thanked Government of India for amendment in domicile order in where all the domiciles of have been provided equal opportunity in all levels of Government jobs. |
