| Nature has shown the world that her prowess is unmatchable. Even science cannot conquer her created disaster. Today, Covid -19 as a pandemic has shown the world about the power an unforeseen influence of her upon humanity. Till last available data reports, wherein around 11 lakhs people have got infected and over than 81 thousand having succumbed to Covid 19, is in itself magnify the quantum of helpless ness of medical treatment to overcome its proliferation. The world till December 2019 had never realized that what the Year 2020 has hold for them in her kind folds. The unimaginable loss caused to the world at every front, be it a social, political, economical or psychological will take years together to overcome such colossal gaps. Globally, those who have lost their families due to this Pandemic definitely need sympathies to support them to pull out of depression, mental agony and facing crisis because the departure is unacceptable and shaking.
One who is born has to die is a universal truth but in normal situation after departure from this earth to the heavenly abode, proper procedures are adopted and rituals followed by the family members to pay last respect to the departed soul by holding prayers but this cruel Covid 19 snatched that right too from the nears and dears ones. The disposal of the mortal remains by the specially earmarked agencies too deserves sympathies and appreciation for taking such enormous risks at the cost of their own lives. A deadly small virus has lowered the image and position of the most powerful nations of the world clearly indicating that law of nature is supreme and no one can dictate the Nature.
A lot has been heard from the media and social media platforms regarding leveling accusation upon China for not raising concerns about situation getting things out of control in the initial stage. But the million dollar question that crops in the mind is why countries like Italy, America, France, Spain, Germany and other European nations where havoc has been caused and still uninterrupted flow is exponentially growing higher day by day did not take the inititiative at the very outset. In fact, an alarming bell was made by China in the month of December 2019 when outbreak took place in Wuhan Province. It is reliably learnt that during outbreak period, people from the Wuhan which eventually became epicenter of spread, had moved out to other places to celebrate the famous Lunar festival in the China .China realizing the gravity swung action and converted this province as an island completely segregating it from the rest of the nation .But, why other nations did not follow the directives seriously and initiated the steps at the earliest? Had the depth of crisis been realized by every nation sooner or later, definitely, what different nations are facing today may not have passed through such worst inevitable trauma and seen such unbearable loss?
In the absence of any vaccine to counter this threat, World Health Organization and other health experts across globe had already issued guidelines and told that in order to stem the rot , Corona virus transmission has to be stopped at all cost. This opined that it could only be possible by adhering to Social distancing formula followed by the use of wearing masks, washing of hands with the help of sanitizers, soaps etc., covering face while sneezing, enriching meals with vitamin C, use of hot liquids, avoiding cold food items, and above all keeping distance from eatables like curd, ice cream, cakes, pastries, Bananas etc. But this all could have been possible if the basic physical relation is not allowed to be established. For this Indian Govt. and health ministry jointly formulated a strategy and prepared a plan to counter the imminent threat likely to cause effect on the health of the public of this nation due to consistent inflow of the tourists from abroad. It has been established by Indian Council of Medical Research that if one person obeys lockdown fully then one affected person can affect only 2.5 people in 30 days but if single person does not obey lockdown process then same one person can affect 406 people living around him. So realizing the gravity of situation, the Indian govt. acted without delay and went ahead with bold initiatives.
In this regard, it is the high time to appreciate the steps taken by our experienced and visionary PM Sh. Narender Modi by adhering to 21 days Lockdown process well in time amidst all hue and cries .He least bothering the critics and his adversary's opposition took bold initiative to pull the boat out of storm. But it is sorry to state that divisive pseudo politics has caused dent to his efforts. Even then, comparatively the level of medical set up, slum dwelling state, living conditions, literacy rate, political mess up and public cooperation, situation is far better than our other counterparts where huge human lives have been lost owing to the spread of this disease. In India so far 30% of districts have badly got affected. Even then, the things are largely under control so far and hopefully given the pace at which concerted efforts have been made by all the agents of society, we shall not go to face much loss in near future.
Remember, in every society there are always some insensible creatures who are always hell bent to rule the roost by projecting their own ideologies. Had the Tabligi Jamat in Delhi cooperated well in time with the concerned authorities, explosion would not have taken place. No doubt, the role of CID/Crime branch, local police and other departments in ascertaining the total strength of people within the Mosque, where large gathering had taken place in connection with religious function is over sighted and need scanner to ascertain at what level things slipped out of hand. Those who arranged the show inside the mosque too misled the authorities with the actual quantum of flow inside the four walls cannot equally escape of their ill shown responsibility.
But for the act of single insane individual, the whole Muslim community cannot be held responsible for whole mess .Since the cat has run out of cage, it's time to capture those Kittens who will now serve as potential bombs if timely not apprehended. The real issue lies with apprehending of all those who are evading their appearance. It is not the time to denounce any community or religion for evasion but time seeks to instill sense of confidence and assurance that nothing untoward shall happen to them once they disclose their travel history and passes through mandatory tests to gauge the severity of its horrible impact caused to them so that life of other may not get threatened for their follies.
One thing which has been observed in the recent times is to find India as truly a land of cosmopolitan character. People across different caste, creed and culture have unconditionally stood up against this menace and have extended monetarily aid, physical aid in the form of food ,shelter and clothing to the needy ones. And this is the spirit which has helped the humanity to grow in this subcontinent. Rarely it is seen and found in the materialistic culture abroad where they love individual growth than societal growth. It is truly cultural transition and cultural legacy that has passed over the centuries together which is something found missing in other cultures abroad. It may be theirs style of propagating and living the life. It can be gauged even from social media reports that in Italy , Spain and France emphasis has been laid to save younger generation and those who are above the age of 60 have not been given due consideration by holding the view that they have lived their life and no more needed to them. But at least, in our culture such approach is not given due consideration. Irrespective of the fact whether adequate treatment to save a patient is available or not with us but at least efforts have been pumped to make sincere efforts to place every one under one umbrella.
One thing which has raised India's importance in the eyes of the world over is the demand of Medicine by all affected nations. The amount of demand by different has exposed the tall claims of the world class best health infrastructure .Not only this, the dependence has proved beyond doubt that bullets and warfare ammunition cannot keep one nation ahead to the other in such type of existing critical state where bullets required to be replaced by the pills for overcoming the menace. The world in future if wish to survive and flow together have to extend the economic cooperation regardless of any barrier in near future once overwhelm this threat looming over the entire humanity.
At present, the most formidable task before our govt. is to assess the situation in light of all pros and cons prior deciding about the extension of lockdown because the daily wager has been badly affected due to this lockdown. If lockdown is not extended then there is absolute chance of total collapse because poor is cash starved to meet his two end meals. Without gauging the impact of the efforts made, such people shall throng to the public domain without keeping the idea of social distancing and net result will be horrible one. On the other hand, if govt. persists with the extension of the lockdown, then there is very likelihood that we may be able to contain the spread of virus but chances of civil war unrest amidst lack of availability of basic amenities of life may not take place. Apart, the wheat crop is ready for harvesting in most part of this nation. Little delay in cutting and holding of the reaped crop, can also add to the fire. The threat is definitely looming. No doubt, every govt. machinery of this nation is doing yeoman's service in meeting the needs and facilitating every needy one but even then the task is daunting and hard to reach every nook and corner. Thus, under these prevailing, circumstances, the issue before the Govt. is very taxing and complicated. It is urgently required to take into consideration all the aspects simultaneously so that we may sail out of crisis smoothly. Hope everyone also realizes the gravity of situation and rising above all party, community and religious beliefs extend cooperation and follow the issued directives and guidelines to defeat this Corona threat. The disease is secular and it has taken all into account regardless of any region and religion. Let we call such nuances as bull shit and stop agonizing one another of showing least responsibility in tackling the threat together. |
