Drugs & Food Safety department conducts market checking at Nowshera town | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Apr 9: To avoid hoarding, black marketing and overpricing of the essential commodities amid COVID19 pandemic, the department of Drugs and Food Safety today conducted an extensive market checking at Nowshera town and inspected various outlets of drug cosmetics and food. During the inspection, the team of officers including Drug Control Officer, Assistant Commissioner Food Safety and Officer of Drug and Food asked the shopkeepers to follow the social distancing norms and provide the required drugs, sanitizers, masks and food items to the general public on genuine rates. It was also made clear that strict action as per the provisions of the food safety act shall be taken against the shopkeepers found violating the norms during the lockdown period. They also appealed to the general public to follow advisories issued by the Government from time to time and comply with the orders issued by district administration failing which strict action will be taken against the violators.
