KISHTWAR, Apr 13: In order to increase the natural immunity of frontline workers who are working at high risk areas in health institutions and in other fields as per protocol issued by the Ministry of AYUSH Government of India and following the directions of Director Indian System of Medicine (ISM) J&K, Jammu and District Magistrate Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara, various ISM Doctors/Pharmacists today distributed immunity booster AYUSH Medicines at dispensaries of Keshwan, Sigdi, Phillar, Police station Chatroo , Dool and also at Quarantine center of Chatroo under the overall supervision of Nodal officer ISM Kishtwar Dr Tariq Hussain. The medicines were distributed free of cost among the frontline workers including the police personnel, medical and paramedical staff, Anganwari workers, ASHA workers, various other administrative officials etc who are working 24x7 to combat COVID-19 . Meanwhile, a Training session regarding covid-19 was also conducted by Dr Junaid Iqbal at Mini Secretariat Kishtwar for the ISM staff to create awareness about the present protocol regarding covid-19. Around 16 participants, including medical officers and pharmacists took part in the training session. The participants were made aware of their duties in the present scenario and how they can play their role effectively. Various topics were covered in detail under the training including communication for response and containment measures ,prevention and safety practices in the community, community surveillance, supportive public health services-community households, stigma and discrimination, role of AYUSH medicines/Immunity boosters, communication and personal safety, how to meet special communication needs in urban areas Further, to keep the whole session interactive, the participants were encouraged to share their doubts and queries. The training was held under the guidance of Nodal officer ISM Kishtwar. |
