UDHAMPUR, Apr 24: Ever since the threat of coronavirus gripped the nation, several people are making their valuable efforts in one way or the other to tackle the challenge. Madhubala of Mantalai in Udhampur district is one such contributor in the ongoing fight against COVID-19, who despite her disability is making her presence felt by making masks for people with her feet. Madhubala, 29, who is unable to use her hands, is stitching masks with her feet. She had not let her disability come in her way and proved that with everything or anything is achievable if one is determined. While talking to Early Times, Madhubala said that she started sewing masks in her house at Mantalai after the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic. She informed that her mornings begin with prayers and then for hours she sits at sewing machine to stitch face masks for the poor masses. Madhubala said that she got the inspiration of stitching masks after repeated appeals were made by the government to wear masks. “I soon decided to help those who can't afford masks and started to sew for them. I want to distribute more and more masks to common masses so that everyone gets a protection from deadly coronavirus,” she said.
