In this online meeting detailed discussion on COVID-19 crisis and the present education scenario in the UT was held. The main issue raised by the representatives of the districts was transfer of all cadres including Grade IInd / IIIrd Teachers, transfer/ salary issue, DPC of all cadres, separate Regulatory Education Commission, Posting of adequate staff, proper adjustment of surplus masters ,etc. Later in a statement to press, Deveraj Thakur President AJKLTF demanded that a transparent/rational transfer policy should be framed and implemented transparently to make the system work efficiently. Lack of proper implementation of present transfer policy created the frustration among the teachers as well as Grade IInd & IIIrd Teachers those who are serving in far flung areas of the state since long and they have lost all hopes and get frustrated due to favoritism in the department. “The pick and choose policy adopted in recently ordered transfers were in violation of much talked about transfer policy which was authorized by helm of affairs. Dedicated but helpless Teachers/Masters and Lecturers who are working for so many years in far flung areas hundreds miles away from their homes have get frustrated by this policy. Unfortunately the transfer norms never followed properly and there are many loop holes in the existing transfer policy in the department.” he said. |
