4 discharged from TRC Uri, no positive case reported in Bandipora today | Malpora in Baramulla declared Red Zone, 8 as Buffer Zones | | S TAHIR-UL HAQ EARLY TIMES REPORT BARAMULLA, Apr 28: Four persons have been discharged from Tourist Reception Center (TRC) Uri after their tests came negative, while as five positive cases have been reported from Baramulla, one from Kupwara and fortunately no case has been reported from Bandipora today. While as Malpora village of Sheeri area has been declared as Red Zone. According to sources, four persons were discharged today from quarantine centre TRC Salamabad Uri after their tests came repeatedly negative. In-charge quarantine center TRC Salamabad Uri Tariq Hashim oversaw their discharge and transportation to their respective homes. Sources said that the group like all others before them was under proper medical supervision period and was discharged after clearance from doctors and health authorities with the strict directions to remain in home quarantine. While as some of the people were hospitalized for treatment, after they were suspected for infection, adding they are negative but as precautionary measures their tests were conducted, said sources. However, sources also said that, Malpora village of Sheeri area has been declared as Red zones, and 8 adjacent villages as buffer zones. According to an order issued by Chairman DDMA and District Magistrate Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo said that, the village Malpora of Thesil Narwaw is notified as Red zone and consequently there shall be no inward or outward movement of any person(s) from this village and people shall stay indoors as there will be complete lockdown in the said village. While as the surrounding villages of Malpora (Red Zones) namely Heewan, Bulbulabad, Naradari, Taripora, Audoora, Gulistan, Pehliharn, and Fatehgrah are declared as Buffer Zones and the inhabitants of these villages shall strictly restrict their movement and shall not allow relatives/visitors to visit their homes during restrictions, said an order. Order further said that, there shall be no movement whatsoever allowed in these areas, every one shall remain indoors and not venture out. In case of any emergency people can contact BDO Sheeri Narwaw, adding any person found involved in breach of this order shall be booked under the law on the subject. However, according to media bulletin, Bandipora has 127 positive cases wherein 102 are Active Positive, 24 recovered, 1 died, Baramulla reported 5 new cases today taking total number of positive cases to 72 with 48 active positive, 21 recovered,03 died; Kupwara reported 01 new case today taking total to 49 positive cases with 40 Active Positive, 9 recovered. Sources said that there is good news from Bandipora district, no positive case has been reported today. |
