| Mayor JMC nominates councilor Kapahi as chief whip | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 28: Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Chander Mohan Gupta in consultation with party high command of Union Territory of J&K and other senior leaders of BJP today nominated Councilor Parmod Kapahi as chief whip of party councilors.
Kapahi, a councilor of Ward No 14 will act as chief whip of BJP Councilors in the General House Meetings and other allied matters in Jammu Municipal Corporation on the pattern of Legislative Assembly and Parliamentary Democracy with the objective that smooth and efficient conduct of business on the floor of General House takes place with close liaison with the elected members of ruling as well as opposition parties.
Mayor thanked and appreciated the commendable work done by all the Councilors of Jammu Municipal Corporation irrespective of their party during this lockdown period and COVID – 19 crises in their respective wards as well as in the whole Jammu City as a team work. |
