| 3 narcotics held with heroin | | |

Udhampur, April 28: Udhampur police recovered 13 grms of contraband substance(heroin) from Subash Nagar and Barrian area of Udhampur in seperate incidents. Giving details Rajiv Pandey, SSP Udhampur said that Police patrolling party of PS Udhampur led by Insp. Vijay Singh Choudhary SHO PS Udhampur under the supervision of Rajinder Singh Katoch Addl. SP Udhampur and Dr. Rohit Chadgal DySP Hqrs. Udhampur.
While performing patrolling duty at Subash Nagar Udhampur. Police patrolling party caught one suspected person who tried to hide himself from the police party.
The suspected person was taken into custody and during his personel search, seven grams of heroin like substance was recovered from narcotic smuggler namely Amar Shah resident of Subash Nagar Udhampur. In another case, same police party, during patrolling apprehended two more suspected persons from Barrian area of Udhampur for checking. During their personnel searchs, six grams of Heroin was recovered from both the persons namely Ranjit Singh resident of Barrian, Udhampur and Kewal Singh resident of Latti were arrested on spot and recovered chitta was also seized. In this connection, two Cases FIR no. 171/2020 and 172/2020 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation of the case is taken up.
