4/29/2020 10:14:15 PM
Early Times REport

Kathua, Apr 29: As the coronavirus threat is growing at a alarming speed in India and the whole world, people at the most risk of COVID-19 infection are those who are front line warriors and are always in close contact with a suspect/confirmed COVID-19 patients or who care for such patients particularly the Corona Warriors doctors and Health care workers. Rashtriya SwayamSevak Sangh took a first of its kind initiative to save Doctors and Health care workers fighting against Covid-19 by providing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Kits for Doctors & Healthcare workers of GMC Jammu and other District/Subdistrict hospitals.
Pertinent to mention that RSS is always in forefront to serve the nation in the hour of crisis and on the similar pattern, Kathua Unit of RSS, on Wednesday handed over more than 40 PPE kits along with N-95 Masks, Sanitizers, goggles etc. to the the management of GMC, Kathua. The aforementioned PPE kits were handed over by Surinder Bajaj, Zila Sahsangchalak of RSS Kathua in presence of Dr. Suleman Choudhary, Principal GMC Kathua, Dr. S K Atri, Coordinator Covid-19 for Kathua, Dr. Anil Gupta, Sr. Surgeon, Surinder Sharma, Sah Prant Karyavah, Pawan Sharma and Diwakar Sharma of RSS. Dr. Suleman Choudhary highy applauded the noble cause of RSS by taking care of medical fraternity, especially when the whole country is facing scarcity of theses kits and thus these kits shall be very instrumental in fighting the war which has grappled almost the whole country and world.
On this occasion Mr. Bajaj said “ doctors , nurses, paramedics are the actual warriors who are fighting the corona -virus by putting their lives at risk. RSS has always come forth whenever Country has faced such crises and thus also cares for the health of the doctors , paramedics among others. As the doctors along with other staff in hospitals are risking their lives, its our duty to take care of these warriors. In light of the above, we are handing over the Personal Protective Kits (PPE) with specialized Goggles to the management so that doctors and other staff in the hospital can protect themselves from the virus” Mr. Bajaj, added. Doctors are doing the yeoman’s job like Soldiers on the borders of the nation. Mr. Bajaj also disclosed that more such works shall be continued in the district as well as block level hospitals across Jammu region.
It pertinent to mention that RSS, Sewa Bharti are distributing Dry Ration, masks, Soap, sanitizers etc. to the needy people from day one of the lockdown. Till date RSS has distributed Ration, masks, medicated soaps, sanitizers etc. and other essentials to more than four thousand families in Kathua only and this process will continue till the lockdown is in force.
