Jammu, May 12: A youth was killed while two policemen suffered injuries in separate road accidents on highways in Reasi and Samba districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
Station House Officer, Police Station Samba, Suraj Pathania here said that one person died in truck accident near Pls Morh on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway in Samba district.
The deceased was identified as Sunny Kumar,21, son of Kulvaran Ram, resident of Khanoda, Hoshiarpur, Punjab. Meanwhile in another road mishap, accident took place near Thanda Pani at Pouni when a car (JK12B-3670) rolled down from the road resulting two police men got injured. Injured cops were identified as Constable Mohd Khursheed,35, of Poonch and SgCt Kafayat Hussain,42 of Surankote, Poonch.
Police said that injured persons have been shifted to PHC Pouni for treatment. They were on way from Srinagar to Poonch, police added. |
