| FMPHWWA holds meeting, demands release of pending salary | | |

JAMMU, May 12: A meeting of the Jammu Kashmir Female Multipurpose Health Workers Welfare Association (FMPHWWA) Jammu Province, an affiliated association of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation was held here today. The meeting was chaired by Sushil Sudan, President of Federation and was among others attended by majority of members through online mode due to lockdown. In the meeting many pending issues of FMPHWs working under Family Welfare were discussed while the members of Association expressed great resentment and concern over the non-disbursement of salary of the FMPHWs for the month of March and April, 2020. It is mentioned that these FMPHWs are performing their duties as frontline warriors during present scenario due to COVID-19. It appears that department headed by the newly posted Director, Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization is in deep slumber and is hardly bothered about the plight of these hapless FMPHWs. Further, it is noted with great concern that last installment of 7th Pay Commission arrears have also not been released in favour of the employees working under Family Welfare so far. Those who attended the meeting included Suriya Bano, Sapna Gupta, Farida Bano, Shakti Bala, Mema Devi, Bharti, Kamla Devi, Rekha Rani, Shakuntla Devi, Varinder Kour, and Parveen Akhtar. |
