RAJOURI, May 15: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri along with a team of the officers of district administration on Friday paid a visit to the GMC&AH Rajouri to review the arrangements being put in place for collection of samples for testing of COVID-19. The Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Nazir Sheikh was accompanied by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Sher Singh, Executive Engineer PHE Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed, District Panchayat Officer, Dr Abdul Khabir, Tehsildar Rajouri, Sheraz Chowhan, Nodal Officer COVID Control Room, Dr Javed Ahmed and KAS probationers including Dilip Sharma, Mahroof Qadri and Adil Shabir. During his visit, the DC reviewed the arrangements being put in place collection of samples for testing of COVID-19. The concerned officer gave a detailed account of the various arrangements and said that the number of persons brought to the sample collection centre has increased many folds during the past few days and there is an immediate need to augment the facilities to ensure hassle free collection of samples. It is pertinent to mention here that the district administration has established, dedicated sample collection centres at GMC &AH for the persons coming from outside UT. The DC asked the District Panchayat Officer to arrange and install tent and ensure sitting facility for the temporary stay of these persons during the period of sampling. |
