KPs asked to celebrate Zeshta ashtami at home | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 15: Due to prevailing situation Kashmiri Pandit migrants have been asked to celebrate ensuing Zeshta ashtami also known as Mata Kheer Bhawani annual yatra at their respective homes which falls on May 30. As such there has been spike in novel corona virus cases with each passing day all over, so under such circumstances annual yatra of Mata Kheer Bhawani to Tullamulla Kashmir will not commence from Jammu this year said Jagti Tenement Committee president Shadi Lal Pandita while addressing a public gathering here today. He said due to spread of COVID- 19 pandemic and constant lockdown besides safety of devotees cancellation of annual yatra of Mata Kheer Bhawani is the only option for larger interest of the community. Advocating for service to poor and needy people, Pandita urged the community members to donate ration items and other essentials generously to serve the mankind in testing times. |
