Police submit charge sheet against 6 booked under ULA (P) Act | | | Early Times Report
GANDERBAL, May 16: Police in Ganderbal today submitted a charge sheet against the 6 accused persons including one Pakistani terrorist who was killed in the encounter at Kullan in 2019. A police spokesperson said, “ Jammu and Kashmir police in Ganderbal submitted a chargesheet before the competent court for case FIR No: 69/2019 against the six accused persons including one Pakistani terrorist who was killed in the encounter at Kullan in 2019”. The case against the accused has been registered at PS Gund in 2019 under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act- ULA (P) Act, and pertains to terror crime activities. The accused individuals have been identified as Farooq Ahmad Sheikh resident of Kullan, Rayees Ahmad Lone resident of Gund, Nisar Ahmad @Batchi resident of Hajin, Tariq Ahmad Ganai resident of Fraw Haknar, Fayaz Ahmad Bhat resident of Kangan and a Pakistani terrorist Zargam @Talha who was killed during encounter at Kullan in 2019. As per the police investigation they are involved in actively supporting and assisting the active terrorist in the area, harbouring of active terrorists & providing logistic support besides transporting them from one place to another. As per the investigation their involvement has been established in unlawful activities including terror crimes.Pertinently one of the accused Nisar @ Batchi is an active terrorist affiliated with proscribed terror outfit LeT while another co accused, a terrorist from Pakistan Zargam @ Talha was killed in the encounter at Kullan. Based on the evidences collected during the course of investigation, they have been found to be involved in the terror crime case and accordingly while pursuing the investigations in a professional manner, today a charge sheet was presented before the court. All the five accused are lodged in judicial custody.
