JAMMU, May 25: Shiv Sena J&K President Manish Sahni today said that free electricity and water is the fundamental right of the people of J&K. He said that what has been given to Jammu and Kashmir for the last seven decades is openly publicized, but what is being taken from here is never mentioned. Sahni said that there is a stock of resources in Jammu and Kashmir. Talking about the water resources of Jammu and Kashmir, this much electricity can be produced we could meet half the country’s consumption, including ourselves. He said that according to an assessment made by the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) in 2017, about 20,000 MW of power can be generated from the water sources of Jammu and Kashmir. |
