L-G's advisor quarantined after family tests positive for coronavirus on arrival from Delhi | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 25: The advisor to Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor has been placed under quarantine after his wife and son tested positive for coronavirus upon their return from Delhi to Jammu on Sunday. Advisor RR Bhatnagar is said to be doing fine with no symptoms at all. Bhatnagar's wife is a doctor in Delhi and may have picked up coronavirus while at duty. Speaking to nation TV channel Bhatnagar said, "I am under quarantine and shall be tested soon. My wife and son are asymptomatic and are being treated in a hospital." The family had been tested immediately on arrival to Jammu and was placed under quarantine as per protocol. Both his wife and son have been admitted to a hospital in Katra, Reasi district. The advisor has been placed under quarantine in a nearby guest-house facility. Bhatnagar is former DG, CRPF. Earlier, K Vijay Kumar, MHA Advisor to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and CRPF DG AP Maheshwari put themselves in self-quarantine after coming in indirect contact of a coronavirus infected person. |
