Early Times Report

RAJOURI, May 25: The quarantined persons at Government Higher Secondary School Dhangri of district Rajouri alleged that they had been facing huge hardships due to instantiation as out of five toilets, three have been lying defunct due to blockage, which has not been cleared till date.
The washrooms in the quarantine center have been grappling the insanitation, which have created inhuman condition for the quarantined people. “Around 26 people have been quarantined in the centre, which has been created in the school, but due to absence of cleanliness the washrooms are stinking thereby making it difficult for us to stay in the centre,” quarantined persons alleged. Although they expressed satisfaction on all other arrangements made by the concerned administration but they demanded that sanitation aspect should also be given due consideration
The locals alleged that the due to absence of drainage system, the dirty water from washrooms spread in the streets and entered into the houses nearby the school. Administration should have made proper arrangement of sanitation before creating quarantine facility at the school.
While talking to Early Times, Sarpach Dhangri said that administration didn’t consult him before making school into a quarantine centre as there were better places, which could have been made quarantine center with best facilities.
People lodged at the centre appealed the administration to resolve the issue at the earliest so that they can spend quarantine period peacefully.
