NC won’t initiate any political activity till all political leaders are released: Farooq Abdullah | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, May 26: Amid speculations of Jammu Kashmir Apni Party forming an advisory council in Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah said his party won’t initiate any political activity till all the political leaders are released. “The National Conference will do no political activity till all the political leaders are released,” Farooq told to media, There were some reports that Newly formed Jammu Kashmir Apni party JKAP led by Altaf Bukhari was going to form an advisory council in Jammu and Kashmir. Former Chief Minster and National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah has also flown to New Delhi on Monday triggering a wave of speculations that NC may also be weighing its options. “I don’t want comment whether Altaf Bukahri is forming any advisory council. You should ask that question to him. As far National Conference NC is concerned, we will initiate any political activity only when all the political leaders are released. Till then we can’t do anything,” Farooq added. National Conference NC,s Member Parliament Mohammad Akbar Lone also said they won’t initiate any political activity till all the political leaders are released. National Conference top leadership including Farooq Abdullah and his son Omar Abdullah has remained silent over the abrogation of Article 370 and reorganization of Jammu and Kashmir since their release from detention.
