2 held for misbehaving with two lady docs | | | ASHWANI SHARMA EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, May 31: As many as six attendants of a patient at District Hospital Udhampur allegedly misbehaved with two lady doctors on duty last night. Hospital sources informed that the attendants were in inebriated condition, adding that they smashed window panes of the hospital and used abusive language while also threatened the lady doctors as well as security personals on duty there. Meanwhile, the hospital authorities this morning filed a complaint against the miscreants at Police Station (PS) Udhampur. Condemning the incident, President of Doctors Association Jammu, Dr Balvinder Singh demanded security to the doctors and other medical staff in the hospital. “Lady doctors working on night duty should not be harassed like this as the medicos are already working under stress due to COVID-19 pandemic and District Hospital Udhampur at present has 25 such patients undergoing treatment for Coronavirus,” Singh said. When contacted SHO PS, Udhampur Vijay Singh Chowdhary said that they have registered a case in this regard and arrested two erring attendants. |
