Month on, Education Department’s clerical staff yet to join new postings | | | Saahil Suhail Early Times Report
Anantnag, June 6: Despite the passage over one month now, a group of senior assistants in Education Department have apparently refused to comply with the transfer order issued by Director School Education Kashmir. According to reports, few senior assistants posted in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district haven’t joined their new places of postings. Instead they are lobbying hard to extend their stay in the district at their respective places. Sources revealed that this particular group of officials is using all its “connections” to get their transfer order withdrawn or amended. “So far they have managed their stay despite few among them being even relived but they haven’t joined their new places of postings yet,” an official told Early Times; however he wished not be named. He mentioned a number of officials, who according to him haven’t yet joined the places they were transferred to. Most among them were transferred from Zonal Offices to other establishments. On 30-04-2020, Director School Education Kashmir, Mohammad Younis Malik (KAS) had ordered transfer and postings of 162 clerical staff officials. These officials were promoted on 22-04-2020 vide order No. 208-DSEK of 2020 dated 22.04/2020, they say. “A powerful lobby inside education department is planning to get this transfer order amended and if they succeed this will again encourage corruption and nepotism,” officials claimed. Deputy Director Education South, Bilal Khursheed told Early Times that he will make sure that all of them join their new places of postings. “Government order has to be implemented at any cost. I will make sure that all of them join their new places of postings,” he said.
