Sikhs have always been on forefront to serve mankind: Varinderjeet

JAMMU, June 27: National Sikh Front (NSF) Chairman & BJP senior leader, Varinderjeet Singh, while addressing a meeting of prominent local figures of minority community of Lachipur Village of Kathua District, along with Front’s office bearers, said that Sikhs have a long history of always being on forefront when needed in the service of the nation, honour of their religion and cause of the society.
Varinderjeet Singh said that their ‘gurus’ have preached universal brotherhood, respect for other faiths and themselves set examples of making sacrifices of their own children in times of threat to the nation and the religion. He said that in the modern era of fast moving overburdened life, it becomes responsibility of each one of us to educate young generation about the philosophy and principles of Sikh religion and the teachings of ‘gurus’.
Singh said that keeping pace with the time is must to progress but at the same time, we have to follow the path of peace, brotherhood and commitment to be ready to become a warrior in crisis. He said that the Sikh community has shown its desire to serve the mankind during the ongoing fight against COVID 19 by providing their unused turbans to be utilized in preparing face covers to be safe from the infection of Corona Virus.
Referring to the problems being faced by the local families of the community in their day to day life, he said the every area has its own needs which can be addressed by the participation of the local population in more effective way.
