Burglary case solved by Katra Police

Jammu, June 27: Katra Police today achieved a major success by solving a burglary case.
Police apprehended two thieves namely Ajay Kumar and Rahul Kumar. During the Shops, Hotels and other establishments of Katra town are closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Taking advantage of the situation a gang of thieves mostly the drug addicts adopting different modus operandi conducted thefts at different places in Katra town.
On the complaint of the complainant by one Prashant that a theft has occurred in his shop i.e provision store at Arly accordingly a case FIR No.92/2020 U/S 457/380 IPC which was registered at Police Station Katra.
A special team headed by Inspector Sunil Sharma SHO under the supervision of Kuljeet Singh SDPO Katra, Amit Bhasin, SP Katra and overall supervision of SSP Reasi Rashmi Wazir was constituted.
Working on this case Police succeeded in apprehending two thieves. Some items has been purchased by dealer namely Sohan Lal, he purchased the stolen items from both thieves and recovered stolen items from his possession at Kundrorian Katra. The approximate value of the recovered property is Rs.22000.
