SRINAGAR, June 27: J&K Gujjar-Bakerwal Youth Welfare Conference (JKGBYWC), a frontal organization of Gujjar-Bakerwal community, has strongly condemned the biased and discriminative attitude adopted by the UT Government towards Gujjars and Bakerwals in appointment of JKPSC members. Zahid Parwaz Choudhary, state president, JKGBYWC, expressed his resentment and disappointment at the J&K Govt's decision on not including member from community in recently formed J&K Public Service Commission (JKPSC), in which the J&K Govt appointed six members from all sections of the society but ignored Gujjar-Bakerwals. Choudhary, has strongly condemned and expressed his serious concern over the ignoring of Gujjar Bakerwal community in the appointment of JKPSC memebrs by LG of J&K UT. He said that in past few months Govt of J&K constituted several Commissions like Delimitation Commission, Commission of Socially & Educationally Backward Classes Commission and now JKPSC, but no member from this third largest community was included in any commission which reveals that Govt is deliberately making its attempts to push back the community and wants to keep them backward and marginalized. He sought immediate intervention of J&K Government and asked it to review the decision and appoint a member belonging to Gujjar Bakerwal community in JKPSC. |
