Teachers appointed under PM’s package set example of work from home | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, July 5: Much in tune with the vision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the teachers appointed under the PM’s package have set an example of working from home to teach the students amid deadly Covid19 pandemic. While the education sector had been in doldrums in the Kashmir since August 5 2019, the Covid19 lockdown had added to such woes. But what has come as an inspiration is that such teachers are working from home to set example of online teaching. Sources said apart from holding online classes, some of the teachers who are away due to lockdown restrictions have even kept their phone numbers available with the students “so that the teaching learning process proves doesn’t get hampered.” “Our teachers are available on internet and also on phone, they need to be appreciated for this,” said some students flanked by their parents. Officials said in the given circumstances, the teachers appointed under PM’s package should not be asked to be present at their respective stations till regular classes start. “When teaching is only a click away amid lockdown why to risk anyone’s life due to coronavirus,” said an official on the condition of anonymity. It is pertinent to mention that these teachers have been braving hostile situations. In 2016 after the killing of Burhan Wani their houses were reportedly torched while the government is yet to pay any compensation. |
